Poppy Workshop

Defence, News

Sune Klopper’s Fashion Class participated in a workshop making fabric poppies for display in Comet Bay College’s War History Museum (Stage 1 opening set for late April).

The girls did a wonderful job learning to make these flowers and by the end of the session nearly 50 poppies were made!

Defence Tranisition Menotr and Millitary History Mueseum Project Officer Claire Hunt will be running a community Poppy Making Workshop on Tuesday 1 March.

The College needs to make at least another 500 poppies for the museum which will honour the service of past and present service men and women, including ex-students who are currently serving. Volunteers to help with Poppy making would be greatly appreciated, for Poppy Making Workshop details check out the facebook event. If you are unable to attend on that day but would like to lend a helping hand contact Claire Hunt by calling the College on 9553 8100.

The Military History Museum will be open to the public for the first time on the day of our College Anzac Service on 28 April 2016.

Everyone is welcome to attend, full event information is available here.
