Our Year 7 students got to enjoy some time in the sunshine yesterday while scavenging for clues to help solve one of the world’s oldest murder mystery cases.
The students have begun learning about Otzi and were asked to categorise evidence they found during a scavenger hunt as primary or secondary sources.
Teacher Healy Riley said the activity allowed students to put theoretical learning into practice.
“We have begun studying the historical evidence for Otzi, so this week they put on their detective hats and tried to find evidence and analyse it, wrapping up what we discovered in the field with a whole class reflection,” he said.
