Comet Bay College’s Christmas Hamper drive wraps up soon, so please get your donations in before the end of Week 9 (December 9).
The charity campaign will create much-needed relief for families doing it tough this Christmas, with the hampers distributed to College and other local families by the Salvation Army.
Associate Dean of Technologies Theresa Walsh, who is coordinating the drive alongside our College chaplains, said she was grateful for the generosity of the College community.
“People have given graciously this year and we are so thankful,” she said. “There have been some very thoughtful gifts, such as jewellery, caps and toys, as well as an abundance of food items.
“There is still time to contribute, so please keep the donations rolling in.”
Non-perishable items suitable to donate include meal kits, tinned fruit and vegetables and sweet and savoury snacks, as well as toiletries, cleaning products, baby needs and Christmas decorations.
Students can drop their goods to the library, with community members invited to donate to Comet Bay College’s Administration Office.
