We Appreciate All That You Do!

Comet Bay College delivered hand-written notes and personalised chocolate bars to our teaching staff to say ‘thank you’ for their dedication and support on World Teachers’ Day.
Students were invited to write personal messages to their teachers, with staff also able to acknowledge their colleagues with the same gesture.
Students also filmed a special tribute for teachers to watch while they enjoyed a recess feast.
Principal Kelly Bennett said while teaching had always been a challenging and rewarding career, the recent pandemic had added unforeseen pressures to the job.
“Teachers play such an important role in the development, support and care of our students which extends beyond text books and classrooms, and it’s a job that doesn’t end when that final siren sounds,” she said.
“Teachers are genuinely invested in their students’ wellbeing and success, and taking the time today to show our appreciation for everything they do is important.”
