If you saw a group of Year 10 students wondering the quads with compasses recently, don’t worry, they weren’t lost. In fact, they were looking for treasure!
Our pre-ATAR Chemistry and Physics students used orienteering compasses and length measurements to create 10 vectors across the campus, with their peers later using these maps to find the treasure.
Teacher Jess Wilkins said the exercise ensured students could both plot and read bearings and gave them a chance to learn outdoors while the sun was shining earlier this week.
