Our new Enrichment program, introduced at the being of this term, has a strong focus on social and emotional development. In supporting students’ growth in this area, and the ‘O for Others’ College value, we introduced a couple of sessions of animal care into the program.
On Wednesday, one-year-old Boston Terrier Edyn visited our Year 7 students. Principal Kelly Bennett also came in for a cuddle. Edyn loves people and is very gentle but at times can be a little timid.
The students interacted with Edyn and provided her a safe and caring environment. They will write a recount of her visit in the coming days, and they can also choose to use her visit as the topic for their upcoming PowerPoint presentation.
Everyone loved having Edyn in the classroom and are looking forward to her next visit in Week 8.
