Our talented Year 9/10 Dance and Drama students competed in the Act-Belong-Commit YOH Fest at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre recently, with both performances winning a Certificate of Merit!
The dance and drama performances were original pieces devised around this year’s theme of ‘wellness.’ The Drama students were awarded for their “Impressive Peer Group Health Messaging” and our dancers were recognised for their “Artistic Merit”.
Teacher in Charge of the Arts Ruth Sims said the students demonstrated exceptional performance skills, despite it being the first time some of them had ever been on stage in front of a public audience.
“There is so much time and energy that goes into these performances and it is great for our students (and their hardworking teachers) to be recognised for their efforts,” she said.
Well done, everyone!
