Our Football Boys Are State Champions!

Comet Bay College has won its fourth Eagles Cup after our Year 8/9 boys defeated Warwick Senior High School 34-9 yesterday.
The boys delivered an outstanding performance that topped off an undefeated season in Division 1 of the Cup, which is the biggest sporting competition among Western Australian secondary schools.
Zachary Sarsero was judged Best on Ground winning the Ross Davis Medal, while Kye Sarich won the match ball as Best Team Player after his scintillating start kicking the first 3 goals of the game that set the tone for the entire match.
Comet Bay College Australian Football Specialist Program Coordinator Steve Thomson congratulated the boys for their outstanding efforts said it was wonderful to see the team celebrate after the final siren.
“It was a special afternoon spent watching talented students display skills so far beyond their years – something shared by so many from our local community,” he said.
“Thank you to Matt Bogensperger who coached the side superbly all season, and to his assistant coach Matt Piggott – your commitment to the education and development of the boys, including so many out-of-school hours, to provide these experiences is a credit to you both.”
As per the tradition, the boys wore their Premiership Guernsey’s and medals over their over school shirts today to celebrate.
Well done to all the boys!
