Our Year 8 Drama Extension and Year 10 Drama Extension students watched puppetry performance “Cicada” at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday.
The Barking Gecko Theatre show is a stage adaptation from Shaun Tan’s book.
Drama teacher Jenna Gregory said the Year 8 students had been studying different forms of puppetry, including construction.
“It was a real pleasure to see such an emotive, high-quality production with professionals using the skills we explore in class to give students a real-world experience of this form of theatre,” she said.
