Year 7 Morning Fitness Activities

Comet Bay College’s Year 10 Sport and Community Leadership students have been arriving at school early each Monday morning to host a fun fitness session for their Year 7 peers.
Health and Physical Education Associate Dean Gillian Hassan said COVID-19 restrictions meant the Leaders could not continue to deliver exercise programs for primary school students as in the past, but had modified their activities to cater for Year 7s.
“We encourage all the Year 7s to come to school early each Monday and kick-start their week with some fun and exercise,” she said.
“Our Sport and Community Leadership students have developed a great program that includes basketball challenges, totem tennis contests and obstacles courses. There is no need to register, just bring a smile.”
Ms Hassan said the Year 10 students were organised and disciplined role models, and it was wonderful to see them guiding the Year 7 cohort.
