Building a greener future has been a key focus for our Year 10 students who are studying climate change sustainability in HASS.
Recently students were tasked to design and build models of sustainable homes.
Chloe Stephen and Cheyenne Edmundson’s intricate housing model was particularly impressive. It included features to mitigate against the impacts of climate change and to reduce their ecological footprint.
“Some features of our house included solar panels to reduce energy usage, native plants and water tanks for water conservation and north-facing windows to make the most of natural light,” they said.
Great effort, girls!
