Two Comet Bay College students have been selected in the WA Under 16s Rugby team.
Year 10s Vian Van Baalen and Finley Allen were due to travel to Brisbane next month for the competition, but COVID 19 restrictions put an end to those plans.
They boys were told this week they would instead compete against other teens in a WA-only contest.
Despite the disappointment, both boys said selection in the state team was a big honour that they had been working towards for a long time.
The 15-year-olds have a friendly rivalry, with Vian hailing from South Africa and Finley from the UK. They also face off when Vian’s Rockingham Rugby Union Football Club plays Finley’s Southern Lions Rugby Union Football Club.
