Our Year 8 students have taken a giant leap back in time to put the finishing touches on their Humanities and Social Sciences formative assessments.
Their task was to create a timeline showing the most significant events and developments from the beginning of the Dark Ages (Fall of Rome 476AD) to the end of the Medieval Ages (1500AD).
They researched, summarised and illustrated events such as Battle of Hastings, the completion of the Domesday Book, King John’s signing of the Magna Carta and the Black Death.
Their colourful and creative submissions included pull down tabs and sketched scenes.
Teacher Tara Holmes said the calibre of work was “outstanding”.
