As our Year 11 and 12 students prepare for upcoming exams, the History Teachers’ Association of Western Australia held its first ATAR Student Revision Seminar Day at Notre Dame University for 2021.
Comet Bay College was well represented by a group of dedicated Year 11 and Year 12 historians-in-the-making, who braved the early morning trip or participated online.
ATAR Modern History teacher Tara Holmes said the seminar offered extensive revision guides and skill booklets to assist the students in their final exam preparations.
“The students received tips on exam technique, examining and answering source questions and how to tackle essay questions – all extremely useful at this time of year,” she said.
“The students also received a content summary of their chosen unit lecture style, and many were pushed to their writing limits with the detail and speed of delivery!
“The seminar day gave the students a kick-start to their final Semester One preparations and was, for many, their first experience of university life!”
