Our Year 7 art students have been creating some mouth-watering art pieces, using cake to inspire their paintings and clay designs.
They were tasked with creating a realistic slice of cake on canvas, then get creative and make a piece using clay.
Art teacher Meg Henderson said the project, which has been a classroom favourite over the years, enabled students to showcase their slab building and decorating skills, as well as their imagination.
“We have also been focussing on colour, particularly mixing colours to create tints and shades, and these projects allow students to put those skills into practise,” she said.
