House Swimming Carnival

Challenger, Mariner, Navigator and Voyager went head to head in the pool last term for Comet Bay College’s second annual House Swimming Carnival at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre.
Students in Years 7 to 10 competed in 50m and 100m individual races and team relays, with Voyager taking home bragging rights.
The final scores for the day were Voyager 754 points, followed by Challenger on 737 points, Mariner on 525 points and Navigator on 486 points.
The House bays provided plenty of support for the swimmers, with bongos and chants adding to the atmosphere.
Associate Dean of Health and Physical Education Gillian Hassan said it was also wonderful to see many parents brave the humidity to support their children.
“The students had a fantastic day and displayed great effort levels and sportsmanship,” she said.
“Special thanks to the Year 10 Sport and Leadership in the Community students for their assistance throughout the day.”
