Four of our talented art students received awards this week for pieces on display at the Comet Bay College 2020 Arts Expo.
Family members and friends attended the Expo last week, which showcased the hard work of our dance, drama, cheer, visual art and media students.
Artworks remained on display throughout the College as voting for the Principal’s, People’s Choice, Stevie and Student’s Choice Awards drew to a close.
Isabella Polson (Year 12) won the Principal’s Award for her Pop-Art inspired piece and Makayla Hughes (Year 12) took home the Stevie Award for her romantic acrylic on glass streetscape, adorned with lighting.
The People’s Choice Award went to Joseph Cook (Year 11) for his striking portrait of his father and Irene Van Der Merwe (Year 8) was voted the Student’s Choice Award winner for her grid art watercolour cat.
Each winner took home a certificate of recognition and an art materials prize pack.
