Extra Care for Our Families

Six essential care packages for families in need have been donated to Comet Bay College, thanks to the Rotary Club of Rockingham.
Community Director Darrel Donovan said the packages contained non-perishable foods and personal care items to the value of $80 and were funded with the support of Supa IGA Port Kennedy.
The College will distribute the packages to vulnerable families in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chaplain Joshua Abercrombie said it was wonderful to see so much community support for people in need and thanked Rotary for its donation.
“We are so grateful for the community connections we have here at Comet Bay College, and the additional support that provides for our families,” he said.
“There are some people who are really suffering and the essential packages may be the difference between families eating a meal together or going hungry. I’m pleased we can play a role in that difference.”
