It was a busy start to Term Two at the College with more than 1200 students back on campus each day last week. This is a fantastic turnout and all the staff have been thrilled to see our students return with smiling faces and positive attitudes.
All timetabled classes have recommenced for face-to-face learning, and the students have adapted well to the extra hygiene measures we have implemented, including special handwashing stations and the application of hand sanitiser when entering and leaving classrooms. Their compliance should be commended.
Parents who have chosen to keep their children home have been supported with online learning material or hard-copy work packages. Our support staff were kept busy on Thursday distributing packages to visitors at the front of the College.
Principal Jamie Hayres thanks everyone for their patience and understanding in these unprecedented times.
“Our staff have been overwhelmed by the kindness of parents and guardians, who have taken the time to email or phone through messages of support,” he said.
“One parent also brightened our day – and added to our waistlines – with a delightful cupcake delivery. Your thoughtfulness has been greatly appreciated.”
