Last Thursday (21 July) 24 Comet Bay College Students from across years 8-12 attended the School Sports WA Mixed Hockey Carnival at Perth Hockey Stadium. After a rainy morning the sun started to make an appearance and it turned out to be a good day on the field.
The A Team, competing against Leeming SHS, Como Secondary College, Gilmore College and Lumen Christi finished second in their pool giving them the opportunity to move onto the next round. Unfortunately after a very tight game they went down 2-1 in penalties against Como Secondary College.
The B Team improved significantly during every game finishing 5th overall in their pool, after competing throughout the day against Como Secondary College, St Stephens, Northam SHS and Willeton SHS.
All players should be proud of how well them performed and should be congratulated on their achievements.
