Comet Bay College will have four House Captains next year – congratulations to Cooper Dymond of Navigator, Freya Gornall of Challenger, Shannon Harris of Mariner and Latrell Wamae of Voyager!
The Captains were elected by our Positive Culture Team to help drum up healthy competition between our Houses, through lunchtime challenges, athletic events and whole-school initiatives.
Cooper and Freya have dual honours, also being selected as our 2021 Student Captains. They will undertake a range of leadership roles, including helping during assemblies, breakfast club and College events.
Dean of Positive Culture Team Kelly Hulin said appointing House Captains was a great way to further develop the College’s House initiative, which promoted team spirit, inclusiveness and participation.
“It’s a change to our previous structure, which included Student Captain and Vice Captains, and will give our new House Leaders added responsibilities and a team of students to represent,” she said.
“It will be exciting to start 2021 with a clean slate and see how the House Leaderboard shapes up under their captaincy.”
