This year Comet Bay College launched its Year 9 Career Taster Program (CTP) which aims to encourage our students to challenge their thinking, spark their ‘career curiosity’ and make connections between education and post-school opportunities.
On Tuesday, a group of students visited Arc Infrastructure to learn about the railway industry.
They completed a simulated activity using GIS (Graphical Information System) mapping to see if a railway could be constructed in a specific area, taking into consideration all environmental factors.
The students also discovered how tracks are controlled, and all the careers related to running the vast network of rail in WA.
