Comet Bay College Comet Bay College Seek Excellence

PRINCIPAL’S WELCOME

I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to Comet Bay College. As Principal, I take immense pride in our school, its dedicated staff, and our students. My commitment lies in fostering a culture of inspired learning.

Located in the coastal suburb of Secret Harbour in the South Metropolitan Region, Comet Bay College is an Independent Public School offering modern, state-of-the-art educational facilities for students from Years 7 to 12.

At Comet Bay College, your child will become a proficient learner, a confident and creative individual, and an active, informed citizen. Our devoted educators focus on the holistic development of each student, addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs.

The College places a strong emphasis on providing a secure and inclusive environment where all students feel welcome and can realise their full potential. We boast diverse student demographic encompassing a wide range of interests and aptitudes. As Rockingham's largest secondary school, we offer a comprehensive array of courses that equip students with a balanced set of skills to meet the challenges of the future. Our curriculum is constantly evolving to stay at the forefront of secondary education, preparing students to confidently enter the workforce in an ever-changing world of technology and innovation.

Every student is considered a valued member of our College community. While academic achievement is promoted, we also celebrate exceptional effort. Recognising that each student has unique needs and aspirations, our dedicated staff work tirelessly to create supportive and nurturing learning environments, enabling all students to strive for their personal best. Our goal is to produce confident, informed, forward-thinking citizens, equipped with high standards of behaviour and a positive attitude.

Comet Bay College’s ethos is anchored in three fundamental values that shape our culture, both in the classrooms and community – Respect, Responsibility and Safety. The values are upheld and modelled by our teaching and support staff, and taught to students through our various Positive Behavioural Interventions and Support (PBIS) initiatives. Our approach emphasises proactive measures to foster a positive culture, with a focus on prevention rather than punishment.

The success of Comet Bay College has been rooted in strong partnerships between our staff, parents, students, and the wider community. I encourage and value your ongoing support as we continue to achieve excellence together.
