Concert Band and Vocal Tuition
Concert Band and Vocal Tuition is offered to selected students through the Arts Department. Students accepted into this program receive access to weekly tutoring sessions scheduled outside of regular class times. An experienced tutor visits the College weekly to support students in developing their ensemble performance skills. The tuition is available both individually and in groups, with students participating in 40-minute sessions each week on a rotational basis. This structure provides focused, personalised instruction, helping students refine their vocal techniques and performance abilities in a supportive environment.
Clay/Design and Sculpture
Year 9 students interested in advancing their ceramics skills will find the Clay course both challenging and rewarding. Throughout the year, students work with a variety of clays and materials, including glazes, to create three major projects: an abstract sculptural form, a realistic sculptural form, and a functional piece crafted through coiling techniques. After completing the Year 9 course, students are encouraged to continue into Design and Sculpture in Year 10, where they will be introduced to the pottery wheel and further explore the possibilities of ceramics. By the end of the year, they will have the opportunity to design a self-directed clay project, collaborating with the teacher to bring their own creative vision to life, utilising the skills they’ve developed.
All Visual Arts courses incorporate drawing, design, and art theory, enabling students to study an artist or art movement relevant to their projects. As they progress, they will also refine their critical analysis skills, deepening their understanding and appreciation of visual arts.

Stage Craft
Stage Craft offers students a unique behind-the-scenes look at the magic of theatre production and is ideal for students interested in the creative industries. Designed as a non-performance elective, this course dives into the technical and artistic roles that bring live performances to life. Students develop hands-on skills in set design and prop making, lighting and sound operation, and special effects and makeup. The program fosters essential skills such as creativity, technical expertise, collaboration and communication, while boosting confidence and problem-solving skills. Students will collaborate on school productions, applying their skills to deliver polished theatre experiences. Their work may also be showcased in public performances, allowing students to see their creative ideas in action.
