Our Year 10 students learned more about Australia’s relationship with the United States of America when a representative of the US Consulate visited recently.
US Consulate General Perth American Management Officer Justin Bytheway spoke to students about his role promoting economic prosperity and keeping a good trade and social relationship between the US and Australia.
Year 10 Gifted and Talented student Fletcher Roberts said he learned a lot from the visit.
“Australia has helped the US with many things including space missions, monitoring the satellite dish in Carnarvon,” he said.
“Justin talked about his own experiences working for the Consulate, travelling around the world and being a US diplomat. He also discussed future opportunities for students to study, work and live in America.
“I enjoyed this opportunity, and we would like to thank Justin for taking the time to come in to speak to us.”
