Year 12 Presentation and Awards Ceremony
The Year 12 Presentation and Awards Ceremony is the final event that our Year 12 students will attend. Graduation Certificates, awards and sponsored prizes are presented to the students in front of their friends and family. A time for celebration for all involved.
This event is held annually at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre for our students and their families. We would like to acknowledge and thank the community partners and businesses that sponsor the special prizes to award student achievement and efforts.

Arete Club
You may be asking yourself what does Arête stand for?
Arête is an ancient Greek word meaning excellence or virtue. The arête of something is the highest quality state it can reach. Using arête as a principle for living life means that you are focused on the quality of everything you do and experience. And so the Comet Bay College ‘Arête Club’ was founded on these principles in 2010, the year our first Year 12’s graduated.
The Arête Club acknowledges students who have performed at a consistently high level no matter what pathway they have undertaken. With ‘seek excellence’ as the college’s motto this is a fitting way to recognise students who have attained distinctions in every subject over the past 2 years. As you can appreciate this isn’t an easy feat and therefore this honour is richly deserved.
The recipients of the Arête Award each receive a framed certificate and their names will appear on an Honour Board that is displayed in the front foyer.
