Four of our Year 11 students performed exceptionally well at the Regional VETiS Worldskills Competition recently. All of them winning places that will earn them medals at the Crown Casino on 21st November at the State Presentations Award Ceremony.
Cameron Carswell won Gold in the Metals and Engineering category.
As part of his skills test he made a machine vice and scored very highly for his final product.
Cameron said “It was really awesome…and I had so much fun competing”
Abbie Weldon won Silver in the Business Administration Worldskills competition.
Alarna Coffey won Silver in the Commercial Cookery competition. She scored very highly for her organisational skills, which was one component of the judging criteria.
Taye Paddison was also awarded Silver…in the Building and Construction category.
