Year 7 Patrick Heise has been riding his bike since he was 4 years of age, but he has a huge challenge ahead of him during the school holidays when he plans to ride 201 kms with Life Cycle WA to raise money and awareness for young people with cancer.
The event is a 4 day Off-Road Mountain Biking Ride from Pemberton to Walpole. The distance is a feat in itself, made harder by being off road through difficult terrain. Such a physically demanding event for an adult, let alone a 12 year old.
This Friday Patrick and his mother are coordinating a Sausage Sizzle down at Bunnings Mandurah with all proceeds going to Life Cycle WA.
We wish you all the best Patrick for your trip and we are very proud of your dedication to helping others.
