Australian History Competition

“Join the revolution and prove History is more than facts”

In Term Two a group of our students from Years 8 and 10 ‘joined the revolution’ and participated in the 2017 Australian History Competition. The competition is intended to challenge students to demonstrate ‘history is not just about facts’.

We are pleased to announce that this year our students (both Year 8 and 10) achieved results that contributed to a mean score for Comet Bay College which was well above the national score. This achievement demonstrates the capacity of these students to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and at the same time identify evidence to support their judgements.

Congratulations to the students for their exceptional achievement and following the school motto of ‘Seek Excellence’. Thank you to our teachers and the students’ parents for the continued support in their learning.
