Comet Bay College has coordinated a community art project to honour our service men and women who have served our country. We have invited local artists to paint the portraits of 20 veterans. The finished artworks will be displayed at our Anzac Service at Comet Bay College on Friday 28th April 2017
It is proposed that the collection will be on public exhibition later in the year and auctioned with ALL proceeds to go to a NFP organisation supporting our local veterans. Details yet to be finalised.
From Left: Leon Holmes, JJ Wade and Defence Bank representative Vicki Edes
Defence Bank very generously sponsored the purchase of all the canvases and frames for this community art activity.
Thanks also go to Gillian Pearse from Divine Framing for making the wooden frames.
And of course a special THANK YOU goes out to all the very talented WA artists donating their time and skill to the finished artworks in this project AND veterans for their service.
