Some enthusiastic volunteers donated their time recently to create more than 150 poppies in preparation for an upcoming Remembrance Day display.
The display, created by Comet Bay College’s Defence School Mentor Claire Hunt, students and community volunteers, will honour Women in Service. It will on display at Secret Harbour Square from November 4 to 14.
The hand sewn poppies will feature among photographs of past and present female Australian Defence Force members, along with QR codes which allow viewers to listen to interviews of each woman’s experiences.
