Our Year 12 ATAR Geography students spent a day evaluating the liveability, sustainability and redevelopment of both Cockburn and Perth during an excursion last week.
Town planners from Cockburn and Cockburn ARC management provided a guided tour of the city’s new development near the train station, which forms part of the Government of Western Australia’s State Planning Strategy 2050.
The students also met with DevelopmentWA planning team members to discuss Yagan Square and Elizabeth Quay developments and evaluate urban restoration and redevelopment in line with the vision of Perth as a mature vibrant city of the future.
