Pouches For Joeys

Our Year 11 Children, Family and Community students delivered more than 30 hand and machine-sewn pouches to Mandurah Just Joey Marsupial Care Wildlife Centre last week.
The charity group visited Comet Bay College recently to speak to students about the high-level of care needed for orphaned joeys.
Home Economics teachers Jarvis Jones and Teneal Davidson said the students got to work designing, decorating and sewing pouches to help.
“They sewed a range of small, medium and large pouches to replicate that of the lost mothers,” Ms Jones said. “It was touching to deliver them.”
