New Navy Cadet Unit

Comet Bay College is excited to announce it will soon be home to a new Navy Cadet Unit, with NTS Comet to be launched soon.

Young people aged 13 to 18 can register, and there has already been plenty of interest with more than a dozen students starting their training thanks to the help of TS Mandurah.

Comet Bay College’s Senior Youth Development Officer David Karcheski is the unit’s Officer In Charge and brings a wealth of experience from his leadership roles in Scouts and Bush Ranger Cadets.

“Young people who participate in clubs and organisation that extend their peer group gain so many valuable life skills, such as leadership, confidence, resilience, teamwork and a sense of pride and community,” he said.

“The Navy Cadets is a leading youth organisation which prepares young people with the skills needed to tackle life’s challenges with added confidence and abilities. It also gives students an outlet for fun and friendship, which is increasingly important in our society.”

Places on the program are limited, so to secure your spot or find out more email David.Karcheski@education.wa.edu.au
