Staff and students were invited to plot their family heritage on the Comet Bay College Community Cultural Heritage Map – just one of our displays set up to celebrate Harmony Day.
Our dedicated HASS Department and library staff set up several displays that promote diversity and this year’s Harmony Day theme, Everyone Belongs.
“Western Australians share a diverse heritage that originates from every part of the world and builds upon our rich Indigenous culture,” HASS Associate Dean Tara Holmes said.
“Harmony Day is a time to celebrate our unique community and reflect on the many social, cultural and economic benefits that diversity brings to every Western Australian. ‘Together we can make racism history!’ is an increasingly important message in our multicultural society.”
