Students in our Year 8 STEM Academy are representing Comet Bay College in the 2021 F1 In Schools contest – the largest STEM competition in the world.
Students have spent months working in teams to design, create and market a small car for racing. They presented their projects to the judging panel recently.
The students demonstrated their knowledge of physics, aerodynamics, design, manufacturing, branding, graphics, sponsorship, media skills and finance in their video-conference presentation, and will race the cars soon in Perth where the State Champion will be decided.
Comet Bay College is the only school in WA’s Development Division, so one team will be bringing home the title! Good luck to all students involved.
