Museum Open Night “Inspiring”

Comet Bay College welcomed Defence personnel, veterans and community members to its Australian Military History Museum Open Night recently.
Guests enjoyed a light supper, some of which was prepared by our Home Economics students, and browsed the museum’s displays and memorabilia.
Student volunteers dressed in historical military uniforms to welcome guests and a simple Last Post and a minute’s silence was supported by our Cadets, with the bugle played by former student Ethan Lamont.
The Ode was read by WO1 Brad Foster who is the Regimental Sergeant Major from the 11/28 Royal Western Australia Regiment.
Palm Beach Rotary Club Vice President Donna McDonald described the event as “inspiring and informative”.
“The event was beautifully organised and very much appreciated by our members. Please pass on our thanks and congratulations to your cadets and student volunteers for being outstanding ambassadors for Comet Bay College,” she said.
