STEM Expo Offers Career Insight

Representatives from a host of companies attended Comet Bay College recently to showcase STEM-related careers to our Year 11 and 12 students.
Among the presenters was ex-student Karl Jones, who is in his fourth year of engineering studies and the President of the Engineering Club at Curtin University.
Students were also excited to hear insights into the world of gaming from renowned expert Andrew Hamilton. Andrew, who is the Lead Art Director of Embark Studios, spoke to students via a Zoom link from Sweden.
Murdoch University had robots on display and the Army showcased their night vision equipment.
Career Development Dean, Jane Bryer said the Expo highlighted the diversity of careers in STEM-related fields.
“The industry support and time dedicated by these companies to inspire our students is so very much appreciated,” she said.
