Our talented Year 9 Dance Extension students will be providing dance lessons to early childhood students at Secret Harbour Primary School over the next five weeks.
They delivered their first session last week.
Dance teacher Aspen Gittins said the partnership gave Dance Extension students the opportunity to learn how to engage and teach younger students in foundation dance skills, and most importantly, provide a safe and fun learning experience.
“This experience is extremely rewarding for the Dance Extension students and will allow them to consolidate their own foundation skills, experience an authentic career opportunity in the dance industry and expose them to the rewarding nature of working with younger students,” she said.
