Netball Carnival Fun

Some of our strongest netballers represented Comet Bay College at the recent Interschool Netball Carnival in Fremantle.
The College entered two Year 7/8 teams and two Year 9/10 teams in the all-day event, with players competing in five matches.
Senior Health and Physical Education teacher Amy Roe said the students should have been proud of their efforts.
“All the girls were respectful, mature and never gave up. Some of the teams had some hard competition but still played their best,” she said.
The coaches voted each quarter to determine the following awards:
Most Valuable Player Year 7/8 Team A:
Mikayla Van Schelven, runner up Ellie Micah.
Most Valuable Player Year 7/8 Team B:
Eva Cartledge, runners up Shaylah Arthurson and Mataya Jeffrey.
Most Valuable Player Year 9/10 Team A:
Romy Dullaghan, runner up Jorja Haines.
Most Valuable Player Year 9/10 Team B:
Shayla Gardner, runner up Chantal Miernik.
“A big thank you to the coaches and umpires who made it such an easy day – Keira Campbell, Abbey Poad, Lauren Tuohy, Kira Willis, Hannah Izzard, Keilani Commins, Ellie Bennett, Jordain Thompson,” Mrs Roe said.
