Reconstructing Ancient Rome

Our Year 7s studied Ancient Roman History in their Humanities and Social Sciences last term, and were photographed recreating its architecture.
Using a range of classroom resources, including cardboard, pop sticks, crepe paper, cellophane, twine and glue, the students set to work creating models of the Roman Bridge, Colosseum and siege towers.
Teacher Anne Siekman said the models would be complemented by an information poster which required students to research more about their chosen architecture.
