Mariner Wins Year 7 and 8 House Carnivals

Comet Bay College hosted its inaugural 2020 House Carnivals this week, with Mariner displaying its dominance to win both events.
The Year 7 event, held on Monday, saw Voyager in second place, Challenger third and Navigator fourth. The Year 8s competed on Tuesday, with Navigator coming second, Voyager third and Challenger fourth.
Students competed in one event of their choice throughout the carnival; basketball, science and maths challenges, chess, The Amazing Race or Among Us gaming. Minute To Win It challenges were a great way to separate close Houses before the Cup presentations.
Positive Culture Team (PCT) Dean Kelly Hulin hailed the events a success, with students enjoying some healthy competition and bonding over a sausage sizzle lunch.
“It was great to see Houses working together as teams and students encouraging one another,” she said.
Awards were presented throughout the day for sportsmanship and team spirit, with students gifted store vouchers, certificates and lolly bags for their efforts.
Congratulations Mariner and all award winners!
