Military Museum Tour

Some of our Year 10 students were treated to a tour through the College’s Australian Military History Museum as part of their HASS History studies about war and conflict.
Defence School Mentor Claire Hunt shared with students the history and significance of the museum’s collection, which includes military uniforms, war artefacts, video displays, photographs and other historic items.
HASS Dean Kerry Cross said the museum provided a valuable resource for staff and students.
“This term, students have been learning about World War II, with a particular focus on the causes of war, Australia’s involvement and the experiences of Australians both in battle and on the home front,” she said.
“Students are now being encouraged to study an element of war in more depth, and having the Military Museum at their fingertips is a great asset.”
