NATIONAL COMPUTER SCIENCE SCHOOL CHALLENGE

Two Comet Bay College students have finished top of the leaderboard with perfect scores after completing a five-week, world-wide computer coding competition!

Hunter Hill and Fabrice Schoeer (Year 10) have been recognised for their outstanding results in the National Computer Science School Challenge 2019. They were among more than 17,000 students from around the world to take part in the annual competition, which encourages students to learn coding by solving interesting and engaging problems.

Computer Science Teacher Hari Chillapa said computer science skills were critical in a changing world.

“We encourage all students to develop the necessary computer skills needed for tomorrow’s careers,” he said.

“Hunter and Fabrice have worked very hard to conquer this year’s Challenge and it has equipped them with some vital skills.”
