Reptile Incursion

The Year 7s at Comet Bay College were rewarded with an awesome visit from Karen from Rockingham Reptile & Grow at the end of Term 3 2018, in Science as part of their Biological Science studies. Students learned about the various types of reptiles in WA, what distinguishes reptiles from other creatures, how to safely interact with them, and how to protect the wonderful native wildlife of Australia. They were able to look at and pat bluetongues, bobtails, geckos, green tree frogs, bearded dragons and of course, a variety of pythons.

The highlight of the incursion was definitely when the students were able to hold carpet, stimson, woma, pygmy and olive pythons!
