Mental Health Week

The Comet Bay College Health Committee organised a recess and lunchtime activity to promote Mental Health Week, on Friday 24th November.

It was a great opportunity to bring awareness to our students and staff about the support agencies within our community.
A very positive and interactive time for all involved.

Student produced Posters to promote good mental health practices were on display in the Library entrance as well as pamphlets and information.

Celia Brown (School Nurse) and the Health Committee members would love to welcome any students, parents and staff members who wish to join them next year. Please email Celia.Brown@education.wa.edu.au for more information and to register your interest.

Representatives from Young Carers, Headspace, Helping Minds and Mercy Reconnect attended the college to promote what services they provide to the community. They came armed with free gifts and lots of resources for the students.

The Wellness Tree

The tree had inspirational messages hanging from the branches. Students and staff members wrote positive mental health messages to add to the display. The posters and the tree will remain in the Library foyer for the rest of term.
