In the School Sports WA Touch Football Tournament there were 42 boys teams divided into 6 pools and 28 girls teams in 4 pools. Each team has from 6-14 players so it was an enormous competition and wonderfully organised.
Our Comet Bay College upper school team made it to the quarter finals with 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss in the finals 2-0. This was the first year our college had made the finals which was a huge achievement.
Our Year 8/9 team played 5 games against Years 10-12 teams. They lost without scoring in the first two games, then scored two tries in the next two games but went down 3-2 and 4-2. The last game for them was a win for our boys 3-2 against Applecross C. Considering the tough competition they did very well.
