Meet the iComet Genius Bar team!

News

Last term CBC teacher Jason D’Argent and Year 10 student Daniel Joyce implemented a new in-school initiative, The Digital Technologies Mentoring Program. With the use of technology in the school environment having become a necessity in modern schools, this program was developed with the aim of supporting staff and students and providing useful resources and information to parents.

As apart of this program the student run iComet Genius Bar is open every recess and lunch time in Room 504 (next to the Library). Students are able to come and visit the iComet Genius Bar for any technical assistance required. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Password Resets (for WiFi, DoE Connect, and Google Apps)
  • Linking iPads, Tablets and Laptops to the Network (for internet)
  • Google Apps Tutoring
  • DoE Connect Tutoring

Currently there five ‘iComet Geniuses’, these Geniuses are specifically trained to deal with a variety of technical issues and faults, and can fix them in no time! Any student is eligible to become an iComet Genius, however positions are currently full.
