The iComet Technologies Program was formed during Term 2, 2016 when the ICT Strategic Committee at Comet Bay College approved the initial idea of a student run helpdesk. The new in-school initiative was created by Mr Jason D’Argent (English Teacher) and student Daniel Joyce as a response to 21st century technologies being integrated to schools.
As part of the Program, a student-run helpdesk supports staff and students daily. With a 100% succession rate, the iComet Technologies Helpdesk operates out of the computing lab, Room 362, in the upstairs of the administration building at Comet Bay College. Students and staff are able to visit for support during any Recess or Lunch session, specifically for technical support relating to:
- Google Apps
- Wireless Network Access
- Photoshop/Premiere Installations (provided students are enrolled in a Design course)
In addition to this, students can also have a 1:1 tutoring session on any technical system used at Comet Bay College.
The iComet Technologies Team is the first port-of-call for students to request any technical support – including all password resets!
