Museum Visits

During the weeks surrounding Remembrance Day, we decorated our front foyer with an appropriate military theme. Local Primary schools were invited to visit Comet Bay College and check out our Australian Military History Museum. Three primary schools participated: Comet Bay Primary school, Waikiki Primary School and Golden Bay Primary.

It was wonderful to see the young children engage with the displays and learn some things about our military history.

Completing questionnaires

Our replica Bell Tent was generously donated to the school by the organizers of the Spirit of the Anzac Exhibition.
The 11th Battalion image and replica cameras (which are retrofitted with ipads and app software) was originally made for the Spirit of the Anzac Exhibition, but was kindly loaned to us by its new owner, the Western Australian Genealogical Society. We thank them for their support.

Some of the students made paper poppies, completed history questionnaires using items on display in the museum to assist their learning and enjoyed a light morning tea.
